We are hearing reports from some parents of our students that the gang violence in the slums is so bad that they are currently unable to move around the community and specifically cross ‘frontiers,’ the borders between rival gangs. This is causing some children to miss school and their time at The University of Life. Please pray that this violence will end and that people will be free to move around their own community in safety and without fear.

It’s rare that children growing up in the slums, feel special. However, UNiViDA is trying to change that by making sure that the wide open space of it’s project in Fortaleza, Brazil is available to children everyday of the week.
Assemblies are an opportunity to build up the confidence of children who often feel disregarded by society. When children start to make friends, enjoy learning and dream for their future, they are more motivated to pursue opportunities available to them.
